Clifton Village Hall, Nottingham

 

Clifton Village Hall, originally built in 1871 as the Village School, has been sympathetically converted into an amenity centre for use by the residents of Clifton Village and the local neighbourhood.

LOCATION

Village Rd, Clifton Village, Nottingham NG11 8NE. The hall can be seen on the far right of the green when entering the village from the A453. Entrance to the hall carpark is to the left of the two buildings.

FACILITIES

Car park for up to 20 cars, Wheelchair access to hall , Ceiling height suitable for bouncy castle. Kitchen with fridge, cooker, tea urns and microwave. Crockery, glasses and Cutlery. Bar counter with serving hatch to kitchen. Trestle tables and chairs to seat 80. Party lighting Outside courtyard to front overlooking the village green.

USES

Private functions and parties; Groups and Social events; Children’s parties Wedding Receptions, Religious services, Fitness and exercise groups. Societies and Clubs, Educational Pursuits, School events.

HIRING THE HALL

Contact booking Clerk on 07982830120. The hall is run by volunteers who may not be available at all times to respond to your call.

CLFTON VILLAGE HALL STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1 The hirer will, during the period of hire, be responsible for the supervision of the premises and their contents, their care, safety from damage and the behaviour of all persons using the premises.
2 The hirer shall not sublet or use the premises for any unlawful purpose or in any unlawful way nor do anything or bring onto the premises anything which may endanger the same.
3 The hirer is required to provide a £50.00 returnable deposit before the commencement of hire. The hirer must pay for the cost of repair or damage done to any part of the premises including the curtilage thereof or the contents of the building during or as a result of the hire.
4 If the hirer wishes to cancel the booking more than one month before the date of the Event, there will be no charge and the deposit will be returned. Cancellation less than one month may incur a £15.00 fee.
5 At the end of the hire, the hirer is responsible for leaving the premises in a clean and tidy condition as it was found. Rubbish should be disposed of in the correct bins at the rear of the Village Hall. The Committee reserves the right to make an additional charge for Cleaning costs. On leaving the Hall, all lights, heating and any other used appliances must be switched Off. All windows must be closed and the hall doors locked. Please refer to the Leaving the Village Hall notes given with the set of keys for the hire.
6 In case of emergency, The mains consumer unit is in the corner of the main hall. The water supply stop tap is in the Cupboard blow the kitchen sink. The gas isolation valve is also in a kitchen cupboard below the sink.
