My family come from Clifton , the HALLAM'S .Great grandmother Elizabeth was a seemstress at the Hall her husband Will BEE was a Groom. My grandmother Elizabeth Jane Hemm nee Bee talked a lot about her childhood in the village of Glapton cum Clifton.I hope to make the opening day of the hall

I attended Clifton Hall Girls'Grammar School. I am surprised that this beautiful building was not accquired by the National Trust, and returned to its former glory. As a teenager I probably didn't appreciate how very lucky I was to walk the halls and gardens of this magnificent estate.

Very sad to see the state of Clifton Hall (my old school) when I visited last year so great to find this website and see that something may happen to restore it. How about some pictures of the State Bedroom (my old form room)?

Great site... Found it while Googling for the Clifton Village Hall. Found loads of demolition photos but no Village Hall address. Perhaps it is something that could be added to this website.Happy New Year to you ALL!
